Applications are opening soon for the 2026 Premier’s Spirit of Anzac Prize

16 Jan 26

The Premier’s Spirit of Anzac Prize is returning in 2026, offering a life-changing experience for Victorian students to learn about Australia’s wartime and peacekeeping history.

About the Prize

Through the Prize, students can enter to join a fully funded study tour to Türkiye to learn firsthand about Australia's wartime and peacekeeping.

12 students will be selected to participate in the study tour as Prize recipients. They will be given the opportunity to visit significant historical war sites, battlegrounds and memorials including Gallipoli Peninsula and Anzac Cove.

The tour encourages thoughtful reflection on the impact of war and the importance of service and remembrance. Through the experience, students will immerse themselves in the legacy, spirit and values of the ANZACs.

Who can apply?

Students in years 9 to 12 who are enrolled at a Victorian school can apply.

Applications are strongly encouraged from students of all backgrounds including First Nations, those from multicultural or multi-faith communities, and students residing in regional or rural Victoria.

Financial support is available on request for students who need support to participate in the funded study tour.
