2018 HTAV Awards

Each year, the History Teachers’ Association of Victoria (HTAV) recognises the contribution of its members to the profession of history teaching and to the Association.

We now invite nominations from HTAV members for the 2018 Awards in the categories below. Please note that nominations for HTAV Awards remain open all year, but the deadlines for nominations for the 2018 awards are provided below. The Awards Ceremonies are divided between the HTAV Annual Conference and the HTAV F–10 Conference each year.

CONFERRAL OF AWARDS
These awards are determined by an Awards Committee comprising representatives from the HTAV Board and general membership (in equal numbers). Awards are conferred at the discretion of the Awards Committee. The Committee reserves the right to confer no award where candidates do not meet the selection and/or eligibility criteria for a category in a given year. The decision of the Awards Committee is final and correspondence will not be entered into regarding the outcome of any nomination.

NOMINATIONS
Nominations must be in writing, using the online nomination process on the HTAV website. Nominations must include details of the nature of the candidate’s contribution to the profession of history teaching and (where applicable) to the History Teachers’ Association of Victoria. Nominations should respond to the selection criteria stated in the award description and the contribution should be regarded as exemplary.

Nominations must be seconded. Nominators and seconders must be current HTAV members, including Individual and Life Members and the currently-listed employees of an HTAV Institutional Member.

If you have any queries about the awards process, please contact Deb Hull, HTAV Executive Officer.
