VCE Australian History

The Exam, Sections A and B

This lecture provides students with an overview of Sections A and B of the final exam. This will include discussions of the Unit 3 topics: the Port Phillip District/Colony of Victoria, 1830–1860 and Nation, Race and Citizen, 1880–1914.

Testing the New Nation (choose one)
Students may select one of the three lectures on offer. They should select the lecture on the topic they studied as part of Unit 4 Australian History. These lectures will prepare the student for the essay component of the final exam.

Renaissance Italy

The Exam, Sections A and B

This lecture will prepare students for the first half of the Renaissance Italy examination. It will focus on Area of Study 1: The Italian Peninsula and the Renaissance and on Area of Study 2: Renaissance Florence.
> LECTURE 2:11.00 – 12.00 pm
Students may select one of the two lectures on offer. They should select the lecture on the topic they studied as part of Unit 4 Renaissance Italy. These lectures will prepare the student for the essay component of the final exam.

The Myth of Venice

The final section of the exam focuses on a study of documents relating to The Myth of Venice. All students studying Renaissance Italy will be required to sit this section of the exam.
VCE Revolutions
> LECTURE 1:2.00 – 3.15pm
The Exam: Section A (choose one)
The first lecture of the Revolutions programme focuses on Section A of the examination paper. This will include a series of short questions on Area of Study 1: Revolutionary Ideas, Leaders, Movements and Events and a document exercise on Area of Study 2: Creating a New Society. The session will revise the content and students will also be given advice on exam technique.
Students should select from the following choices and the revolution they intend addressing in Section A of the examination. (If you are uncertain of which lecture to attend please consult your teacher).

The Exam: Section B (choose one)
The second lecture for Revolutions focuses on Section B of the examination paper. This will include the Area of Study 1: Revolutionary Ideas, Leaders, Movements and Events document exercise and the Area of Study 2: Creating a New Society. The session will revise the content and students will also be given advice on exam technique.
Students should select an essay on the revolution they intend addressing in Section B of the examination. Students are advised that in the final examination they must respond to questions on the second revolution they studied during the year. (If you are uncertain of which lecture to attend please consult your teacher)
