Introduction
Welcome...
This conference brings together the best combination of teachers, academics and other history educators to reflect upon the big topics that history teachers deal with in the middle years. You will be able to learn about the effect that Nazism had upon the social lives of those living in Europe, brush up on your historical thinking skills, national history curriculum update, and start experimenting with meaningful ways to incorporate Web 2.0 tools in the History classroom.
In December, the Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority will be presenting the first draft of the National History Curriculum for general consultation. This is an ideal time, therefore, for teachers to reflect upon practice and rejuvenate their history teaching on the eve of this important national event. I look forward to seeing you at this ‘History in the MiddleYears’ conference.
