2026 Premier’s Spirit of Anzac Prize – competition now open
4 Mar 26
Do you know a student in years 9 to 12 who is passionate about Australian history?
Applications have now opened for the 2026 Premier’s Spirit of Anzac Prize competition.
About the tour
Funded by the Victorian Government’s Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, the Prize offers Victorian students an opportunity to win a fully funded study tour to Türkiye.
On the tour, students will learn about Australia’s wartime history by retracing the steps of the ANZACs. They’ll visit significant war sites and memorials, and learn first-hand about the people, places and sacrifices of those who served in war.
Who can apply?
The competition is open to Victorian students in years 9 to 12.
Twelve students will be selected to attend the tour in September 2026.
If you’re a teacher, principal, parent or carer, we encourage you to pass this opportunity on to students who may be interested.
Important information
To enter, students are asked to reflect on the Anzac values and how they model them in their lives.
Recipients will participate in an 11-day overseas study tour. The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing covers all costs associated with:
- accommodation

Financial assistance is available on request for students who need support for any additional related costs.
