VCAA/HTAV VCE History Implementation Sessions – Online in 2021 - 26 May 21

The newly accredited VCE History Study Design will be implemented in schools in 2022. The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) has appointed the History Teachers’ Association of Victoria (HTAV) to organise a series of implementation sessions for VCE teachers during Term 2, 2021.

The purpose of the implementation sessions is to familiarise teachers with the VCE History Study Design 2022-2026.

All sessions will be delivered online via Zoom Webinar. Teachers may register for and attend more than one of the implementation sessions. All sessions will be recorded and available with closed captioning soon after the events.

Cost: No Charge

Pre-Implementation Session Activity

Before the implementation session(s), registered participants will be emailed the link to a recorded presentation in which Gerry Martin, Curriculum Manager (History and Civics), VCAA, introduces the VCE History Study Design 2022-2026 and the Advice to Teachers. Teachers are to view this recording before the implementation session they attend.

Registered participants will be invited to submit questions they have for Gerry Martin to HTAV after viewing the recorded presentation. The link to submit questions will be included in the email closer to the date of the implementation session(s) selected.
