 Final chance for students to apply for a fully funded study tour to Türkiye

Applications for the 2026 Premier’s Spirit of Anzac Prize are closing on Monday 11 May. 

If you know a student in years 9 to 12 with a passion for Australian history, now is the time to encourage them to apply. 

About the tour 

On the tour, students will learn about Australia’s wartime history by retracing the steps of the ANZACs. They’ll visit significant war sites and memorials, and learn first-hand about the people, places and sacrifices of those who served in war.   

Who can apply? 

The competition is open to Victorian students in years 9 to 12. 

12 students will be selected to attend the tour in September 2026. 

The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing covers all costs associated with: 

Financial assistance is available on request for students who need support for any additional related costs. 

Important information 

To enter, students are asked to reflect on the Anzac values and how they model them in their lives.   

Applications for the Prize close on Monday 11 May 2026.
