Announcing the winners of the Spirit of Anzac Prize!

6 Oct 25

The Premier’s Spirit of Anzac Prize is an incredible opportunity for young Victorians in years 9 to 12 to explore Australia's wartime history and honour those who have served.

Each year, 12 students are selected to take part in a fully paid study tour.

This year’s recipients have recently returned from Türkiye, where they walked in the footsteps of the Anzacs at Gallipoli, visiting key battlefields, memorials, and connecting with the stories that shaped our nation. Students had a profound and life changing experience as they researched a local community member or a family descendant who served and/or sacrificed their lives at Gallipoli. This journey brought history alive beyond the classroom and students developed a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made by previous generations.

In 2026, another group of 12 students will also embark on this extraordinary journey. Teachers play a vital role in encouraging and guiding students to apply. We encourage you to include World War I and the conflict in Türkiye in your curriculum and inspire your students to consider applying.
