Calling History teachers for a TeachMeet!

13 May 21

Do you have a favourite History lesson you teach? What do you do? Why do you love it? How do your students respond to it? How have you refined it over time?

HTAV is now calling for teachers who would like to be part of our upcoming History TeachMeet! Come along and share your favourite lesson with others.

Thank you to those who have already expressed their interest to present.

A TeachMeet is an informal gathering where teachers share ideas and improve their own classroom practice. Through a virtual TeachMeet, you can connect in this relaxed way with colleagues from all over Victoria. Each presenter speaks for a short time – no more than 10 minutes – so the content is focused, dynamic and varied.

This TeachMeet will be very informal and will not be recorded. It is simply an opportunity for teachers to learn from each other, discuss and question what is shared, network and connect.

If you would like to present at the first TeachMeet for 2021, please email a short description of your idea to:

Myra Karantzas, HTAV Events Manager – m.karantzas@htav.asn.au
Due by Tuesday 18 May 2021
TeachMeet date: Wednesday 9 June 2021, 4.00pm – 5.30pm
Online via Zoom

If you haven’t presented before, this is a great way to ‘dip your toe in the water’.
