Privacy Policy

The History Teachers' Association of Victoria (HTAV) respects your privacy. The protection of your personal information is important to us.

At the HTAV we only collect information that is necessary to administer your membership. The information we collect is used to ensure that your status as a financial member is recorded. It is also used to send you regular mailouts and keep you up to date with HTAV activities.

Your membership details are kept strictly confidential and we do not make them available to any outside organizations or allow any person except authorised staff and Committee members to consult them. Membership forms are destroyed after seven years in accordance with the requirements of the Australian Taxation Office. As an HTAV member you may ask to see the information held about you.

In the case of the personal information of job applicants, conference participants, staff members and contractors the HTAV collects information to assess and if successful engage the applicant, staff member or contractor and to administer employees' employment and/or contracts.
